The summer fashion spread of the July edition of Alfie Birds magazine will be one of largest photo shoots we have ever done for the magazine. The location we chose was storage units Glasgow and luckily it was on one of the hottest days of the year. Here is everything that went down on the day of the shoot.
As we are a Scottish magazine we want to show case all of Scotland’s greatest sights. So why choose a storage unit…? We have partnered up with Hassle Free Storage who allowed us access to their site in Paisley. The colourful blue, red and yellow paint work on the units complemented the beaming hot sun and blue skies perfectly. The industrial set is something that has done many times however we haven’t seen a photo shoot in a storage unit landscape before.
Californian Summer – bright colours of green, red, blue mixed with blue denim, black leather boots and large sunglasses. We managed to collaborate with Topshop, New Look, Mango and H&M as well as online stores Boohoo, MissGuided and Pretty Little Thing. They supplied us with clothing for the shoot. They are all offering 20% if you use the code ABMAGAZINE20 in the online checkout. You are welcome.
We wanted to give the illusion that the photo shoot was taken in the streets of downtown LA. Luckily with the beaming sunshine and blue sky backdrop made it look like we were in sunny California rather than the west of Scotland.
